Don’t Look Back

As we begin our journey into the year 2021 a couple scripture have come to the forefront of my mind. The first is found in Philippians Chapter 3. The first part of the chapter Paul is talking about his past and how he was a good “religious” man in the eyes of the law, but then goes on to talk about the change that takes place when he truly experiences Jesus Christ as his Lord (vs 7) He talks about how is pursuing his purpose with God and that he is running with passion to fulfil that purpose-he’s not yet there, but he continues to push forward keeping his eyes in front of him-on the prize and not looking back.

12 I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose that Jesus Christ has called me to fulfill and wants me to discover. 13 I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this;[f] however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. 14 I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus. 15 So let all who are fully mature have this same passion, and if anyone is not yet gripped by these desires,[g] God will reveal it to them. 16 And let us all advance together to reach this victory-prize, following one path with one passion.

(The Passion Translation)

As we begin this new year-let’s put our focus toward the future. Let’s not look back and dwell on what we didn’t accomplish last year or how it wasn’t what we had planned-we will PUSH into the 2021 with a new passion for the purpose God has for our lives. And as the scripture says, if you have not yet gotten that passion for your purpose-ask, and God will reveal it to you.

And the other scripture is one that is loved and quoted by Christians all over the world

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Receive that God wants for you to Prosper in 2021 in all areas of your life. We have hope for a good future.

Live! – until we meet again.
